At our smaller facility, we prioritize high-quality care and low class sizes, creating a nurturing environment for children aged 12-24 months. With 16 years of experience, we're expanding our program and seeking a seasoned lead to collaborate with our staff. Enjoy a flexible schedule with the option to work 4 or 5 days a week, offering a great work-life balance and an extra long weekend every month. Our teachers are encouraged to be creative and develop age-appropriate lesson plans. As we don't follow the VDOE curriculum, you'll have the freedom to bring your ideas to life.
What You'll DoThe ideal candidate will take on the following responsibilities:
- Providing top-notch care and supervision to our children.
- Developing strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
- Designing and leading engaging activities that promote growth, stimulation, and learning, in collaboration with teachers and students.
- Supervising the playground to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for our children.
- Creating lesson plans and activities that cater to the unique needs and interests of our toddlers, aged 12-24 months.
- Teaching and supporting self-help skills, empowering our children to become independent and confident individuals.
RequirementsWe're looking for someone with at least one year of experience working with children aged birth to five. Before joining our team, you'll need to pass a background check and complete the VA Preservice Training within 90 days of hire. We also require two professional references from your previous work experience.
