Hollymead Veterinary Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia is a 4 doctor practice providing General Practice and Urgent Care services. We're seeking an additional, experienced veterinarian who enjoys treating a diverse range of cases with a highly skilled team!

Hollymead Veterinary Hospital has deep community ties. Formerly known as VETSS (Veterinary Emergency Treatment and Specialty Services), our hospital provided emergency services to the Charlottesville community for over 30 years. In 2018, as the landscape of veterinary care evolved, we began shifting towards urgent care and general practice services. Our rebrand to Hollymead Veterinary Hospital marks a thoughtful shift to better represent the care we provide today and celebrates our deep-rooted connection to our local community. Our core mission at Hollymead is to empower pet owners with the knowledge to make informed decisions in a supportive environment that enhances the health, well-being, and happiness of pets and families alike.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time, experienced veterinarian base salary: $145-175k. Commensurate with skillset, experience, schedule and your preferred pace.
  • Earning potential on monthly, no negative accrual bonus plan: $220k+
  • Additional opportunities to earn: Highly competitive monthly, no negative accrual bonus plan. Bonus plan is not mandatory (for candidates preferring straight salary). Equity opportunity available starting early 2025.
  • Relocation stipend
  • Bonus in exchange for multi-year commitment negotiable; commensurate with length of commitment, skillset and schedule commitment
