Job Summary
This role revolves around guaranteeing a safe, clean, and enjoyable atmosphere for team members and guests during parties and groups. Responsibilities include recording and managing team member performance, maintaining communication regarding daily procedures and special projects, and ensuring smooth party and group operations by resolving challenges promptly and collaborating effectively with other teams. This role will also support the Sales department with group events, assisting with communication, coordination, and operational execution to ensure a seamless guest experience from booking through event completion. The position also involves overseeing cleanliness standards, assisting in party setup and service, and fulfilling any additional duties necessary to support party operations efficiently.

Requirements
Key Objectives:
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and fun environment for team members and guests during all parties and groups.Review call logs and contact any upcoming event points of contact to confirm and review the reservation weekly by phone and email.
  • Support the Sales department with the coordination and operational execution of group events to ensure a seamless transition from booking to event day operations.
  • Resolve any challenges impacting the party and solve problems promptly to ensure first-class guest service.
  • Have Microsoft knowledge including Outlook, Word, Excel and etc.
  • Assist team members in preparing the party area and tables with required party supplies, welcoming guests, and delivering food to respective areas.
  • Ensure proper inventory of supplies is in stock for upcoming events and communicate any supply needs to the appropriate departments prior to the event.
  • Host the party in its entirety, including food and beverages, ensuring it is executed flawlessly.
  • Collaborate daily with food & beverage leads, check-in with team members, food runners, and pavilion teams to ensure the on-time delivery of event food and a smooth check-in process.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the parties and groups areas.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with distracting conditions, move about the facility, and stand for long periods.
  • Relay BEO information to hourly team members working the event.
  • Ensure that financials are ready and properly closed out.
  • Attend department manager meetings.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems within guidelines.
  • Must be organized and keep documents properly filed in the computer.
  • Handle cash, electronic funds, and process transactions using the point-of-sale system.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals by upselling.
  • Ability to work in an active environment and multitask successfully.
  • Record team member performance.
  • Communicate effectively with all operations team members.
  • Communicate daily with team members regarding SOPs, closing reports, and special projects.
  • Develop and train team members.
  • Motivate and set goals for team members.
  • Oversee all time schedules and time tracking of team members.
  • Complete any other duties to assist with the operation of parties.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Event Management:
  • Coordinate, and execute all events, ensuring smooth operations after booking is completed by the sales team until the event conclusion.
  • Manage party schedules, staff assignments, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with the Sales team to support group events by assisting with event coordination, communication, and operational execution following the booking process.

Guest Service:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for party & group inquiries, and on-the-day support one the booking is turned over from the sales team.
  • Greet and assist parties & groups, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assist Sales with group event follow-up, guest communication, and ensuring all event expectations are properly executed operationally.

Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise parties & groups team members.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development.

Operational Excellence:
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for parties & groups operations.
  • Ensure all party areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Monitor inventory of party supplies and place orders as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

Financial Management:
  • Track and report on revenue, expenses, and profitability of parties & groups operations.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and improvements in the parties & groups program.

Qualifications
  • Compliance with Fun Spot America Theme Park's drug-free workplace policy, including consent to pre-employment drug testing and adherence to federal, state, and local laws regarding drug and alcohol use.
  • Successfully undergo a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle check when applicable.
  • Complete and pass the Serve Safe Food Safety assessment provided by Fun Spot
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of managing and executing successful events.
  • Ability to complete and pass the State Food Safety Certification exam
  • Ability to pass cash handler certification
  • Ability to utilize various computer software's including Microsoft Office

  • Ability to move around and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
