Job Description

Coffman Engineers' Atlanta office is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Electrical Engineer with five plus years of experience. Applicants must be well versed in all aspects of electrical systems design and have experience developing construction documents from project conception to completion. The successful individual should be comfortable consulting to architects, owners and general contractors and have a desire to work on diverse projects with a multidiscipline engineering team. Experience in healthcare, higher education, hospitality/housing, commercial and industrial projects is desired. We are looking for a collaborative, self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical engineering design and construction experience in the AEC industry required
  • Registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in Electrical Engineering, required
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering, preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and general electronic drawing format software is required
  • Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office 365 suite, Microsoft Teams, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Experience with power system analysis software (E-TAP, EasyPower, SKM) is required
  • Experience with lighting software (AGI, Visual Lighting) is a plus.
  • Experience with medium and/or high voltage systems is a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance from the U.S. Government
  • Ability to travel for site visits
  • Ability to work independently as well as train others
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks
  • Desire to learn and work with a team of professionals
  • Experience with low voltage systems design is a plus
  • Experience with federal project design is a plus
  • Contributing to Coffman's marketing and business initiatives as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
