Position: Floater Administrative Assistant

Reports to: Director

Full Bilingual

General Job Description:

Include: Assisting daily operations both in class and administration. Floater Administrative Assistant covers teachers in the classroom when needed, and assists the Director and Assistant Director in basic administrative tasks such as filing, answering the phone, handing information to staff, covering teacher’s breaks, attending daily teacher’s and parent’s needs, and overall clerical duties. And ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. Assure that all students, parents and school employees live in a safe-learning-nurturing environment. Constantly following professional practices consistent with the preschool policies in working with students, parents and colleagues. Assisting and supporting in all classrooms when required following all DCDEE rules and regulations while supervising children at all times and promoting a nurturing environment.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Education, Business Administration or a related field plus 18 Early Childhood Education course work including admin classes (EDU 261 and EDU 262)

  • At least 6 months experience working in a childcare center. At least 1 year of administrative experience

  • Bilingual

  • Child Maltreatment Certificate

  • CPR and certified first aid

  • SIDS Training

  • BSAC Training

  • Playground Safety

  • Fingerprint/criminal record clearance through DHHS Criminal Background Check

  • Ability and good command of Paycor, Active Campaign, Procare, social media tools, Broadvoice.

  • Ability and good command of Windows, Google, Facebook, Instagram, Drive, Google calendar.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Written communication to parents about general information of SFF!

  • Reviewing social media posts

  • Communication material for administrative staff

  • Making sure teachers takes pictures of their activities every week and share with them with Marketing

  • Editing pictures when necessary

  • Covering lunch breaks when required, and substituting staff when needed

  • Assisting in all classrooms when needed

  • stay alert for staff’s and/or children’s needs through the walkie talkie

  • Take care of all leads and potential customers.

  • Working on strategic plans to achieve goals and measuring results of each strategy.

  • Answering phone calls and convert those calls into tours

  • Keeping track of incoming calls and doing follow ups

  • Making sure teachers have the materials and information they need

  • Making sure office supplies are enough for work necessities

  • File documents

  • Receive payments from clients

  • Opening and closing center
