  • Coordinate payroll-related personnel actions, including new hires, compensation changes, leaves, and terminations.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconcile payroll data, and support year-end processing and audits.

  • Present benefits information during new hire orientation in both one-on-one and group settings, ensuring employees understand available benefit programs and enrollment processes.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits and retirement plan questions.
  • Reconcile benefit invoices, administer the firm's 401(k) plan, and support the annual 401(k) audit.

HR Administration

  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and HR policies, including I-9s, E-Verify, and personnel records.
  • Assist with policy administration and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
  • Participate in HR projects and other departmental initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
  • Experience with third-party payroll systems (Paylocity preferred).
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, 401(k) administration, payroll regulations, and employment law.
  • Experience supporting 401(k) audits and HR compliance preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification (or interest in obtaining certification) preferred.
  • Law firm or professional services experience is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
