Job description

Position Summary:
The Director of Non-Degree Programs is a full time, exempt staff position that fulfills a variety of administrative, formative, and creative roles at the institution. Primarily the individual appointed to this position will: reimagine and expand our local formation offerings to dioceses, strengthening existing relationships with dioceses, and build new ones (the CALL program); in consultation with CDSP leadership and diocesan leaders create a one-year, flexible, asynchronous Certificate of Anglican Studies offering ("CAS"); and develop and oversee the creation of on-line continuing education modules for our graduates participating in the two-year curacy program. Once all of those are operational, the individual will maintain and direct these programs, while creating and monitoring the cost structures for CAS and CALL program. This role will work closely with the register to administer these programs.
This position requires a person to be relatable, efficient, able to multi-task, and think strategically. The individual in this position serves as a representative of CDSP to the wider Church community. The position requires the individual to be physically present for some of the in-person gathering events that occur four times a year, and occasionally for faculty and staff in-person retreats, but otherwise the individual can reside anywhere in the United States.
The annual salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with CDSP leadership, the faculty, and diocesan leaders, create a one-year, asynchronous, flexible Certificate of Anglican Studies program allowing dioceses to select courses needed by candidates. This CAS program should be available to accept students for the 2027-28 school year.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, create and oversee the development of on-line, asynchronous continuing education modules for graduates participating in our two-year curacy.
  • Revive and grow our current online, asynchronous local formation offerings, working with current diocesan partners and recruiting new ones. This program is currently named CALL (Center for Anglican Learning and Leadership). This name will be modified as the two new programs are being developed.
  • Adhere to confidentiality rules and all other CDSP policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that promote CDSP's mission and core values.
  • Assume other related responsibilities and special projects as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Activities:
  • Strong knowledge of The Episcopal Church's polity and governance.
  • Experience with online teaching/learning in theological formation, preferably asynchronous.
  • A clear and compelling vision for continuing formation for ministry.
  • Strong pastoral, administrative, and collegial skills.
  • Christian commitment and practice, including active participation in a local faith community.
  • Commitment to the ministerial formation of students.
  • Experience in parish ministry.
  • Ability to self-direct and self-motivate.
  • Comfortable working remotely.
  • Detail-minded and able to keep track of multiple ongoing projects.
  • Strong commitment to the shared work of fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in a largely white institutional space.
  • Ability to relate and interact with people no matter their race, ethnicity, age, gender identification

Required and Preferred Education, Experience, and Credentials:
  • Master of Divinity
  • Ordained Episcopal Priest (preferred)
  • Advanced degree in a theological discipline (preferred)
  • A graduate of an online/hybrid program (preferred)
  • Experience working remotely (preferred)
