Job description

Las Vegas, Nevada
The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in a place full of excitement, diversity, and entertainment? Are you enthusiastic about being a team player in one of the most fascinating industries in the world? At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests.
THE JOB:
The Director of Creative Project Management serves as the senior strategic account and program leader for the Creative Services project management team. The leader is accountable for translating enterprise marketing strategies and client needs into well-scoped, prioritized, and successfully delivered creative briefs.
This role leads and mentors Project Managers, partners closely with Creative, Marketing Strategy, and Production, and ensures work is aligned to brand intent, business objectives, and time to market. Success is measured by strong stakeholder confidence, on-strategy delivery, and predictable execution across complex, multi-workstream initiatives.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Serve as the senior point of accountability for key internal clients and marketing programs, ensuring alignment between business strategy, brand standards, and creative execution.
  • Build deep understanding of client marketing strategies, campaign objectives, channels, timelines, and constraints to guide delivery decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers as strategic operators, setting expectations for client engagement, strategic thinking, and disciplined delivery. Coach PMs on intake quality, stakeholder communication, escalation judgment, and decision-making. Establish consistent standards for program governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication while providing performance feedback and talent development to build a resilient, high-impact project management organization.
  • Establish and reinforce enterprise-level standards for intake, prioritization, program governance, and the use of project management tools. Leverage data and reporting to assess portfolio health, identify trends, and inform leadership decisions while driving continuous improvement to prepare Creative Services for scale, including increased volume, complexity, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Champion a customer-centric mindset, ensuring stakeholders experience clarity, confidence, and responsiveness throughout engagement.
  • Set and manage expectations proactively, especially during periods of high demand, shifting priorities, or delivery pressure, while monitoring overall stakeholder satisfaction and program health to improve partnership effectiveness and reduce friction.
  • Partner with the Director of Operations on vendor resources and capabilities, leveraging in-house capacity and outside resources to meet deadlines.
  • Facilitate internal process expectations across all parties such as creative, strategy, and production, ensuring internal review protocols are followed, feedback is actionable, and all work meets both marketing objectives and delivers on target timelines.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, including team development and stakeholder management.

  • 8+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven experience building workflows.
  • Strong experience with PM tools.
  • Experience managing budgets and resource allocations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of creative production.
  • Background in marketing strategy, campaign development, or integrated brand execution.
  • Understanding of enterprise marketing strategies.

THE PERKS & BENEFITS:
  • Comprehensive wellness programs designed to support employees' physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Exclusive access to company-sponsored discounts across hospitality, dining, retail, entertainment, travel, technology, and a wide range of partner offerings.
  • Complimentary parking both during and outside of scheduled work hours.
  • Competitive health, wellness, and income protection benefits for eligible employees.
  • Ongoing professional growth and career development through leadership programs, learning opportunities, strategic networking, and community engagement initiatives.
