What's the role?
We're seeking an experienced, high level Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a respected CPA firm based in Stockton, CA. This position would be on-site and the firm is known for its flexible culture and supportive environment.
This is a key role within the firm's CAS department, offering the opportunity to work at a controller-level while also remaining hands-on with client work. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both leading and supporting a team, while managing complex client accounts and serving as a trusted resource for others
The key responsibilities include:
  • Manage a portfolio of client engagements, including more complex and nuanced accounts
  • Perform full-charge bookkeeping duties, including financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Serve as a go-to resource for team members, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Assist in leading and developing the Client Accounting Services function
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high-quality deliverables
What experience and skills will help you succeed?
  • Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role at a senior level
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience in a CPA firm highly preferred
  • Non-profit industry experience preferred
