About the Role:

The Automotive Tint Technician plays a critical role in enhancing vehicle aesthetics, comfort, and privacy by professionally applying window tint films to a wide range of automobiles. This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that tint films are installed flawlessly without bubbles, creases, or imperfections. The technician will work closely with management to understand procedures and provide expert advice on tint options that comply with local regulations. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a clean and organized workspace, managing inventory of tint materials, and ensuring all tools and equipment are in optimal condition. Ultimately, the Automotive Tint Technician contributes to customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality tinting services that improve the driving experience and protect vehicle interiors from UV damage.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum 2 years of verified hands on experience installing automotive tint
  • Skilled in shrinking, shaping, and applying tint to complex glass curves
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions and SOPs
  • Able to work effidiently in a fast paced workflow
  • Positive, respectful attitude toward teammates, management and dealerships. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in automotive window tinting or related technical training.
  • Experience with different types of tint films including ceramic, metallic, and dyed films.
  • Familiarity with state and local window tinting laws and regulations.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with automotive detailing.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure and cut window tint films accurately to fit various vehicle window shapes and sizes.
  • Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning and removing any debris or contaminants before tint application.
  • Apply tint films smoothly and evenly, using specialized tools to eliminate air bubbles and wrinkles.
  • Use computer-cut software for accurate templates; hand cut when needed
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.
  • Maintain and organize tinting materials, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new tinting technologies, and local regulations regarding window tinting.
  • Represent the Car Shield brand with professionalism, respect and customer-focused service
