Job description

Role: Workday HCM Core Functional
Location: Remote, must be able to travel 25%
Duration: Full time
Workday Functional
Goal:
Establish a "tier 2" team to provide additional build capacity for Workday functional needs. Resources would be able to manage lower - complexity builds with minimal oversight in specific domains. Additionally, they will require only light training on Workday tooling beyond what is specific to the Client environment.
General Preferred Qualifications:
Workday PRO certification in relevant tracks
Working understanding of integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Public APIs) HCM Requirements
Understanding of foundational HCM principles including Business Processes, Reporting, Calculated Fields, Security, & Notifications
Demonstrated knowledge of Workday Docs, letter templates, Questionnaire, Survey, Reference Letters and custom alerts
Advanced hand-on process with Onboarding, Change Job, and Termination business processes
Ability to create Calculated Fields and Custom reports
Strong Understanding of building, maintaining and interpreting Security Group Permissions.
Be able to provide recommendations to Tier 1 Team to fix incorrect transactions
Time & Absence Requirements:
Understanding of foundational HCM principles including Business Processes, Reporting, Calculated Fields, Security, & Notifications
Advanced hand-on experience with time-off plan configuration including complex accruals, carryovers, shadow plans and touchpoints with leaves and time tracking.
Advanced hands-on experience with leave configuration including balance periods, cascading leaves, intermittent leaves, and complex eligibility and validation rules.
Experience with ancillary absence processes such as automated leave return, automatic balance adjustments and transfers, Sell Time Off and others.
Experience with Workday time-tracking configuration, time submissions, and employee work schedules.
Experience with reporting using the available Absence and Time Tracking data sources.
Knowledge of Workday's API capabilities for the Absence and Time Tracking modules.
Payroll Requirements:
Understanding of foundational HCM principles including Business Processes, Reporting, Calculated Fields, Security, & Notifications
Workday Payroll processing knowledge including calculation, complete, and settle steps
Experience with building payroll components (Earnings, Deductions, Account Posting Rules, Run Categories, Payment Election Rules)
Experience with third party payroll configuration (External Earnings, External Deductions, External Inputs)
Experience with reporting data sources for Payroll (Payroll Results) and Accounting (Journal Lines)
Knowledge of payroll regulatory rules and their impact on payroll configuration
Knowledge of payroll touchpoints (Time Tracking, Absence, HCM, Compensation, Benefits)
