Structural cardiology program | Advanced Cath Lab procedures | Established cardiovascular team | No state income tax

Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center is seeking an Interventional & Structural Cardiologist to join its hospital-owned, physician-led multi-specialty medical group in Reno, Nevada. This opportunity allows the incoming physician to practice advanced structural and interventional cardiology in a collaborative environment with strong Cath Lab support and a growing cardiovascular program.

The role focuses heavily on Cath Lab procedures and structural interventions, supported by an experienced cardiovascular team and hospital resources.

Practice Overview

Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center provides comprehensive cardiovascular services to the Northern Nevada region. The cardiology program includes a collaborative team of specialists and support providers delivering advanced cardiac care.

The cardiovascular team currently includes:

  • 2 General Cardiologists

  • 1 Interventional Cardiologist

  • 1 Cardiothoracic Surgeon

  • 2 Nurse Practitioners

  • 3 Community physicians supporting interventional call coverage

The incoming physician will join a program performing a high volume of structural and interventional procedures, with a significant portion of time spent in the Cath Lab performing advanced interventions.

What You'll Do

  • Perform advanced structural and interventional cardiology procedures

  • Provide inpatient cardiology and Cath Lab procedural care

  • Perform procedures including TAVR, PCI, diagnostic catheterizations, Watchman, and MitraClip

  • Participate in STEMI coverage and interventional cardiology call

  • Collaborate with cardiology colleagues and cardiovascular surgical teams

Schedule

Full-Time

  • Monday–Friday schedule with Cath Lab and inpatient responsibilities

Call

  • Approximately 1 in 5 or 1 in 6 call rotation (negotiable)

  • STEMI and interventional cardiology coverage during nights and weekends

  • Call supported by interventional cardiologists and contracted community physicians

What We're Looking For

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Cardiology with Interventional and Structural training

  • Proficiency in TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, PCI, and diagnostic catheterization procedures

  • Strong clinical judgment and collaborative approach to patient care
