Job description

WATCHMAN (Full-time)
The Tradition Senior Living is a Texas-based Luxury Senior Living organization committed to excellence in all we do to serve our residents. Since our inception, we have expanded to multiple locations in the Dallas, Houston, and Fort Worth areas. Each community offers a comprehensive continuum of care that includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.
Here at TSL, we are dedicated to not only providing exceptional care to our residents but also fostering a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees. If you are looking for an opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization that specializes in offering high quality experience for Seniors in your community and values innovation, compassion, and excellence in senior care, apply now!
We are currently seeking a Watchman at our Woodway Drive community. In this role, you will be responsible for preventing illegal activity in order to protect the community, guests, and residents from harm. Watchman must be alert and quick to detect any attempts to damage property or harm residents, guests, or the community. Watchman is in charge of enforcing community policies, especially regarding security. They exercise discretion in granting authorization to enter or exit the building and conduct security screenings to ensure that no person intending to commit an unlawful activity is allowed in or around the premises. The Watchman reports directly to our Concierge Director who oversees day to day operations of the community's Concierge department.
Responsibilities...
  • Arrives to work on time and attends work on a regular basis with minimal absences.
  • Completes an hour-by hour log.
  • Routinely inspect the parking garage area for any suspicious activities.
  • Watchmen are the first to respond to incidents and emergencies in the parking garage. If a watchman observes an incident on the premises, it is his duty to take charge of the situation
  • Manage administrative tasks such as directing guests. Since a watchman is often the first-person visitors encounter, he must be approachable, knowledgeable and he should offer necessary guidance.
  • Maintains a record of all activities observed daily on the premises and deliver to the executive director to keep them apprised of daily status. This covers all observations or other developments which may have occurred around the community.
  • Other duties as assigned by executive director.
Required...
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of one-year related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Follow written and verbal directions.
  • Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
  • Exhibits an energetic demeanor with a caring, compassionate attitude.
  • Possesses sound organizational and time management skills.
  • Possesses good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Here’s why you should consider joining our team:
  • Comprehensive Benefits: We offer a benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and other perks to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of our employees.
  • Growth Opportunities: As a rapidly growing company, we provide numerous opportunities for professional development and career advancement. We are committed to helping our employees achieve their career goals and reach their full potential.
  • Diverse Opportunities: With a variety of roles across our multiple locations, you can find a position that matches your skills and interests.
