Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Resource Tech, you will provide essential support across various patient care and hospital operations, directly contributing to patient safety, comfort, and operational efficiency. You will rotate through multifaceted roles, including patient sitter, transportation aide, and hospital entry screener, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to a seamless patient experience. 

Every day you will act as a patient sitter, providing 24-hour visual observation and prompt response to patient needs and requests, ensuring their safety and comfort. When functioning as a transportation aide, you will safely transport patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital, ensuring efficient movement and accurate tracking of assignments. 

To be successful in this role requires a genuine passion for patient well-being, diligence in executing tasks, keen observational skills regarding patient conditions, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.

  • Remains present with patient and has visual observation at all times
  • Removes all personal items
  • Places patient in red gown
  • Adheres to Sitter Guidelines and Standards of Care for patient care populations served
  • Communication
  • Reports all behavior changes to nurse
Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate general studies
  • American Heart Association
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare
