Job Description
As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Willington, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help support entry screening activities, monitor assigned areas, and assist with routine patrols and customer service. In this role, you will help promote a secure environment through clear communication, professionalism, and attention to security-related concerns while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, vehicles, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct routine and random inspections of assigned screening areas, entry points, and nearby operational spaces to help support compliance with site rules and security-related expectations.
  • Document screening activity, visitor information, incident details, and/or irregular findings in required logs, reports, or electronic systems.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
