JOB DESCRIPTION โ€“ INSTALLER - INST

Position Summary:

Seeking individuals with assembly, construction and warehouse experience. This role is 100% travel based supporting jobsites across the United States. Travel and lodging expenses are covered including daily per diem. The Installer is responsible for executing a variety of general labor and specific trade work tasks including repetitious assembly and building activities, specific technical applications, and general supervision of temporary workers needed in the assembly and installation of robotic warehousing equipment. Successful candidates will be dependable and energetic with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and who take pride in producing high quality results.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Duties:

  • Display a high level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Utilize and be responsible for equipment, tools, assets, and supplies to support execution of assignment
  • Be responsible for inventorying and staging, using effective space management as required by assignment
  • Setup and/or use software and hardware as required by assignment
  • Perform fastening and anchoring to various surfaces and substrates to meet project specifications and requirements
  • Take and/or apply accurate measurements
  • Perform component assembly accurately and efficiently per specifications
  • Apply 5S tape, stickers, and labels per assignment specifications and needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Follow and promote all company safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with all organizational levels and external business partners
  • Consistent daily communication with project management regarding all aspects within assigned scope
  • Maintain clean work and storage areas
  • Regularly work towards task and skill improvement
  • Protect entrepreneurial information and workplace confidentiality
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism
  • Produce high quality level of work
  • Attend daily stand-up/PTSA meetings and implement actions as directed (lead meeting as required)
  • Be aware of project timeline requirements and work diligently towards meeting them
  • Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections as required per assignment
  • Properly document and communicate blockers, issues, and anomalies
  • Immediately report all client interactions to supervisor
  • Be responsible for timely, accurate, and efficient time keeping
  • Responsible for caring for and maintaining lodging facilities associated with deployment
  • Attend all required internal and external business meetings and training
  • Consistently positively represent Culver through behavior, performance, and communication
  • Self-manage and self-report as situationally required
  • Perform side responsibilities as needed and requested by supervisor

Minimum Required Qualification:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Must have experience or competency of basic construction and assembly and associated tools and techniques
  • Must have knowledge of hardware, low voltage wiring and mechanical components (as required for specific scopes)
  • Must have valid I.D. permitting travel
  • A valid drivers license with a clean MVD record is highly desired
  • Must have and be able to use personal communication device for business communication responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and use basic computer software applications
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures
  • Exercise good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to remain composed and professional during stressful situations
  • Willingness to work in a variety of inclement and construction environments
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED (additional education may be required for specific scopes)
  • 1-year related light construction, assembly, install or low voltage experience preferred

Physical demands & work environment:

  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Consistent use of hands and the ability to reach with arms
  • Consistent use of fine motor skills using fingers to handle or feel
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Required to be able to speak clearly and hear
  • Occasionally work at heights up to 40'
  • Repetitive pushing, pulling, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to squat, bend and kneel as a repetitive job action
  • Ability to work in adverse temperature conditions (hot and cold)
  • Ability to work in construction environments
  • Ability to work 12+ hour shifts

Position Type/Expected Work Hours:

  • This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are ultimately dictated per project. Some weekend or evening hours may be necessary.

Travel:

  • Assignments require full time travel with deployment lengths up to 16-20 weeks at a time.
