About the Position

We are seeking two dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support students in a high school setting in Peyton, Colorado. Working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, the SLPA will assist in delivering speech and language services that help students improve communication skills and achieve success in the educational environment.

This opportunity offers collaboration with speech therapists, special education staff, teachers, and school support teams while providing meaningful services to students with communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

?? Provide speech and language interventions under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

?? Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans and therapy activities.

?? Support the development of language, articulation, communication, and social communication skills.

?? Work with students utilizing assistive communication technology and other support tools.

?? Collect data and maintain documentation related to student progress.

?? Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.

?? Support students with speech and language disorders as well as other disabilities.

?? Deliver services in both push-in and pull-out educational settings.

?? Travel between multiple school sites as needed.

QualificationsRequired

?? Graduate of an SLPA program with an Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

?? Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience

?? Current SLPA certification or licensure in the State of Colorado

?? Minimum 1 year of SLPA experience

?? Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements

?? Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred

? Previous school-based experience

? Experience working with high school students

? Strong communication and collaboration skills

? Current health certificate and TB clearance as required

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program 
  • Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
  • Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice 
  • Complies with all relevant  professional standards of  practice 
  • One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
