Job description

About the Role 

Talarico for Texas is hiring a Travel Associate to join James Talarico's US Senate campaign. This is a full-time, paid position ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who thrives in fast-paced environments. The Travel Associate will support travel operations and logistics for staff while providing seamless day to day coordination and on the road support across the campaign. 

Responsibilities

  • Support staff throughout campaign travel by coordinating logistics, resolving travel issues, and ensuring travel plans are executed smoothly 
  • Maintain the organization, cleanliness, fueling, and overall readiness of campaign vehicles to support travel and campaign operations
  • Ensure campaign vehicles are stocked, maintained, and prepared for travel while addressing logistical needs that arise on the road
  • Troubleshoot travel related issues and adjust logistics quickly in response to schedule changes or operational needs
  • Track travel budgets, receipts, invoices, and related administrative documentation
  • Communicate travel updates and logistics with staff
  • Support operational planning for campaign events, trips, and multi-stop travel schedules 

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Experience in political campaigns, government offices, scheduling, operations, event and travel coordination, or other relevant experience
  • Experience coordinating complex logistics, calendars, or travel arrangements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting schedules 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail 
  • Exhibits discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive political, personal, and confidential information
  • Comfortable with nontraditional hours, reflecting the pace and demands of a statewide campaign
  • Commitment to the mission, values, and success of the Talarico for Texas campaign

Benefits

Location: Austin, Texas (Statewide Travel Required) 

Salary: $5,000 per month
