Job description

Job Title: Interpreter / Translator (2-Year Assignment)
Company: AISIN World Corp. of America
Department: Administration, Human Resources - GA
Location: Seymour, IN
Position Summary
This candidate will be a regular full-time employee and will receive the full suite of company benefits. This position is structured as a fixed-term role and will conclude upon completion of the two-year assignment.
This role supports executive leadership at the headquarters of an automotive parts group company. Key responsibilities include executive-level interpretation/translation, internal communication support, coordination with U.S. subsidiaries, and communication with Japan headquarters. The role also includes accompanying executives to U.S. subsidiaries and supporting selected General Affairs (GA) tasks such as company vehicle management and invoice processing.
Position Responsibilities
The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:
  • Executive Interpretation & Translation
    • Provide simultaneous/consecutive interpretation for executive meetings and high-level discussions.
    • Translate executive documents, presentations, and confidential communications between Japanese and English.
  • Communication Support
    • Support communication with U.S. subsidiaries and Japan headquarters/group companies.
    • Assist in preparing and delivering messaging for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document & Presentation Support
    • Prepare and translate reports, briefing materials, and presentations using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
    • Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and consistency with corporate standards.
  • General Affairs (GA) Support
    • Manage company vehicles (scheduling, maintenance coordination, tracking).
    • Support invoice handling and general administrative tasks for executive operations. Assist with meeting preparation, visitor support.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Fluency in Japanese and English (speaking, listening, reading, writing).
  • Ability to interpret technical, strategic, and executive-level discussions accurately.
