Traffic Control Supervisor:
The Traffic Control Supervisor manages road and highway construction projects, ensuring the safety of the work zone and its participants.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Traffic control devices: Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices, such as cones and signs
  • Traffic Routing: Creating a traffic routing plan that complies with regulations
  • Flagging: Coordinating flagging duties and controlling traffic with a sign paddle
  • Team Management: Supervising teams as they install equipment, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring they follow safety protocols
  • Communication: Communicating with customers and the foreman or supervisor, and notifying them of any safety issues
  • Job Site Maintenance: Keeping the job site free of hazards and unloading trucks
