Job description

Our position is for a full-time Terminal Operator at our Jefferson City, MO facility. The ideal operator would possess good organizational, time management, problem-solving, and housekeeping skills. We want people who look for opportunities to learn new skills and can contribute to making our facility an even better place to work.

Our Terminal Operator position is an entry-level, safety-sensitive operations position focused on the general functions of the terminal.

No Walk-ins or Phone Calls will be accepted. Applicants will be contacted for interviews.

Terminal Operator Job Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Safety requirements and procedures.
  • Able to work independently (self-driven), as well as a Team Player.
  • Maintain customer, supplier and Company confidentiality.
  • Maintain regular hours by being present, on-time and producing professional, error-free work.
  • Receive and hook up rail cars.
  • Connect steam and unloading hoses.
  • Collect and record tank temperatures and measurements. Record information appropriately.
  • Have a working knowledge of and successfully operate Order Weigh system.
  • Perform routine yard maintenance.
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment.
  • Pull product samples upon request.
  • Adhere to all (DOT) and (OSHA) requirements.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and timeliness.
  • Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area.
  • Be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time on concrete floors and outside surfaces.
  • Able to work outside in varying weather conditions, varying cold, hot & humid temperatures.
  • Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
  • Other duties as required by Terminal Manager.

Terminal Operator Job Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills and PC knowledge.
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time on concrete floors and outside surfaces.
  • Able to work outside in varying weather conditions, varying cold, hot & humid temperatures.
  • Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders, several times a day
  • Must have reliable transportation
