Job Description

Adesta, an Allied Universal Company, is hiring a Project Manager to plan, organize, direct, and control project planning and performance activities for the effective management of outside plant (OSP) fiber optic and telecommunications systems installations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain effective communication with subcontractors, vendors, and internal and external customers to support project success and customer satisfaction  
  • Allocate and manage project resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget  
  • Manage project budgets, maintain full project P&L responsibility, and support invoicing and collections efforts  
  • Implement project scope changes, contract pricing updates, and installation plan revisions, including change orders 
  • Prepare and manage project installation plans, schedules, goals, and job procedures  
  • Coordinate engineering, installation, subcontracting activities, and scheduling with other trades 
  • Supervise installation labor and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely project completion  
  • Maintain accurate records related to project status, material flow, and project changes  
  • Troubleshoot project issues and collaborate with operational and financial teams to mitigate impacts and maintain profitability  
  • Assist with the design and engineering of aerial and underground fiber optic systems and develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) for project execution 

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Current driver's license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events) 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) fiber optic construction, including fiber splicing and testing   
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multimillion-dollar projects while maintaining schedule and budget requirements  
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, contract administration, and telecommunications construction practices  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint  
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE): 

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field 
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as PMP, Certified Fiber Optic Installer/Technician, or manufacturer training (Corning, OTDR, etc.) 

BENEFITS:

  • Pay: $80,000 - $110,000 annually + company vehicle + gas card + bonus potential
  • Medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance
  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
  • Vacation time is offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law
