This is an in-office 5 day a week role / not hybrid.
  • The salary range for this role is $95-125,000 based on experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Design and Production departments to generate precise measurements and detailed tech packs
  • Oversee the fit process from initial development through production-including PP (Pre-Production) and TOP (Top of Production) sample review-to ensure products meet the highest standards of fit and quality
  • Tech Pack Development: Collaborate with the Design team to create comprehensive development and production tech packs
  • Specification Management: Measure samples and enter detailed specs into tech packs prior to fittings
  • Fit Execution: Lead in-person fittings; evaluate samples on live models to provide clear, detailed fit comments and corrections to overseas factories
  • Revisions: Update tech packs to reflect design changes, construction adjustments, and spec revisions as needed
  • Timeline Adherence: Maintain the development and production cycle to ensure all technical deadlines are met
  • Grading: Provide accurate graded specifications to ensure consistent fit across all styles and sizes

  • Problem Solving: Monitor quality concerns and production issues to provide proactive technical solutions and recommendations
  • Project Management: Plan and organize workload according to the production schedule and seasonal calendar
  • Team Collaboration: Assist the team as needed, maintaining a flexible, helpful mentality
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the apparel industry as a Technical Designer (menswear background preferred)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, points of measurement, and grading
  • Proven experience in live model fitting and communicating detailed technical corrections to overseas vendors

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a plus
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and a strong communicator (both written and oral)
