Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing โ€“ $45โ€“$50/hr | Full-Time | New Hampshire | Relocation assistance, Sign On Bonus

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a full-time Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (TODHH) for a school-based position in New Hampshire for the 2026โ€“2027 school year.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and recent graduates who are passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments in an inclusive, student-centered educational environment.

Position Details
  • Job Title: Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (TODHH)
  • Location: New Hampshire (Onsite)
  • Schedule: Full-Time (35โ€“40 hours/week, 5 days/week)
  • Pay Rate: $45โ€“$50/hour (consistent weekly pay based on scheduled hours)
  • Setting: Public school / special education
  • School Year: 2026โ€“2027

Teacher of the Deaf Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Adapt curriculum and materials to ensure accessible learning environments
  • Use American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities as appropriate
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), special education staff, and related service providers
  • Support development of communication, language, and academic skills
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Utilize assistive technology and adaptive strategies to support student access
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers
  • Advocate for student needs and promote inclusive educational practices
Qualifications
  • Valid New Hampshire DOE Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Certification
  • ASL (American Sign Language) proficiency / certification
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Deaf Education or related field
  • Experience or interest in special education, deaf education, or hearing impairment services
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and instructional skills
