About The Role

FTI seeks experienced trade compliance professionals with 6+ years of expertise to manage multiple client engagements and lead teams delivering global trade compliance solutions. Directors oversee investigations, design compliance programs, lead audits, and interact directly with clients on complex issues including customs, tariff mitigation strategies, FTZs, and sourcing regulations such as Buy America/Buy American. This role also supports business development and thought leadership initiatives.

* Manage concurrent client projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality

* Lead domestic and international trade compliance investigations and audits

* Develop and enhance client compliance programs and controls

* Mentor and supervise engagement staff, fostering professional growth

* Support business development through proposal writing and client relationship building

* Stay current on evolving U.S. and global trade regulations and policies

* Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and thought leadership content

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, International Business, or related field

* 6+ years of progressive import trade compliance and international trade experience

* Strong leadership, project management, and client communication skills

* In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classification, FTZs, free trade agreements, and sourcing requirements (e.g., Buy America)

* Willingness to travel up to 50%

* Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

* Advanced Degree (JD, MBA, or Masters)

* Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or similar certifications

* Experience with trade compliance software and data analytics tools

* Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Compensation

Minimum Pay: $91,000

Maximum Pay: $278,000
