The Peer Support Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team as a full-time remote professional. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist primary care providers in identifying, treating, and managing mental health and psychosocial issues relevant to patient care.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, performing thorough diagnostic and functional evaluations, and making informed recommendations for treatment plans.
  • Provide targeted, brief interventions for patients in need of immediate mental health services, ensuring effective and timely support.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, initiating follow-up consultations to adapt treatment strategies as necessary and developing relapse prevention plans when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, sharing insights about patient needs and progress to devise comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Empower patients to adopt healthier lifestyle choices and ensure compliance with medical guidance provided by primary care providers.
  • Facilitate education on self-management skills and provide ongoing support to patients as they navigate their own treatment journeys.
  • Document patient progress and relevant diagnostic information accurately, maintaining comprehensive treatment charts.
  • Contribute to the clinic's overall behavioral health services by providing feedback and consultation to management and team members.
  • Adhere strictly to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals and carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Peer Support Behavioral Center, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals facing various mental health challenges, developmental disorders, and psychosocial difficulties. Your role will be critical in identifying at-risk patients and collaborating with the healthcare team to implement targeted interventions that facilitate recovery and promote well-being within our community.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required.
  • Must hold an active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.

  • Familiarity with developmental psychopathology, group therapy methodologies, and psychotherapeutic theories.

Preferred Experience
