DHL Express has an opening for a Business Development & Inside Sales Supervisor in our Lachine, QC. As the Inside Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding a team of business development representatives and Inside Sales Representatives, helping them to achieve their targets, and driving the overall business development strategy.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

Team Leadership 

  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to a team of inside sales representatives. 
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a positive and collaborative team culture. 
  • Conduct daily Performance Dialogues. 
  • Onboard new team members to the sales team. 
  • Support team with escalations and opportunities. 


Sales Strategy and Planning 

  • Develop and implement effective inside sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to align sales strategies with overall business goals. 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecast 
  • Conduct monthly business reviews, face-to-face coaching sessions with the team, and joint listening sessions 


Process Optimization: 

  • Continuously analyze and improve sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Implement best practices and ensure adherence to standardized sales procedures 
  • Leverage our sales tools (GSIP, GSS, Comet, GSRT, RpD/SpD) to grow revenue, shipments and generate new business (FTB) 


Performance Monitoring and Reporting: 

  • Conduct quality monitoring sessions to ensure compliance with established call standards 
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)  
  • Generate and analyze sales reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement 


Training and Development: 

  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales teams 
  • Provide ongoing coaching to address performance gaps and foster professional growth 
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement 
  • Foster Individual Development Plans 


Stakeholder Communication and Presentation: 

  • Conduct engaging business briefings and presentations to diverse audiences 
  • Effectively communicate complex information and key business updates 
  • Tailor presentations to meet the needs and interests of various stakeholders 
  • Oversee and manage special projects and DHL Champion initiatives

  • Proven experience in sales and customer management 
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team 
  • Business acumen and knowledge of DHL's services 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), database and web-based applications

  • 2+ years of previous working experience in customer facing sales 
  • Supervisory experience preferred
