**Experienced Aluminum Welders are always highly encouragedto apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and follow technical drawings to determine welding procedures and measurements.
  • Metal Preparation: Cut, grind, and prep metal components for welding.
  • Welding Operations: Utilize SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW techniques to join metal parts.
  • Quality Control: Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Fitting & Alignment: Precisely position and align components for structural integrity.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, wear protective gear, and handle hazardous materials properly.
  • Confined Space Work: Operate in tight areas within ship hulls using specialized equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of welding experience in a shipyard environment.
  • Certifications: Proficiency in various welding techniques with required certifications.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
  • Metal Fabrication: Competency in cutting and shaping metal.
  • Physical Stamina: Endurance to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in ensuring weld quality and structural soundness.
  • Shipyard Setting: Outdoor work with exposure to weather and noise.
  • Confined Spaces: Operating in tight quarters within the ship's structure.
  • Elevated Heights: Welding in high areas as required.
