Seasonal Structural Welder Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Structural Fabrication Welder I (AWS Certified MIG | 2nd SHIFT 3:30 PM to 2 AM)
Pay Rate: $19-$22/hour + $2.00/hour shift differential
The Structural Fabrication Welder I is introduced to the prefabrication of exterior andinterior wall panels for commercial buildings. Additionally, the Welder Ireceives training on various welding and assembling techniques as it pertainsto wall panel production and installation. Approval for all work is required prior to the Welder I completing anytasks.
Essential(Core Competencies) Duties
Read and interpret shopdrawings.
Gather and collectmaterials.
Accurately measure and cutmiscellaneous materials.
Perform panel layout inaccordance with drawings.
Pre-assemble panelcomponents in preparation for weld.
Perform welds to ensurepanel stays secured.
Assist in securing completedwall assembly onto crane, lift off jigs and move to the next operation.
Attends and/or completeswelder and safety training (through KLOVER Learning Management System) asrequired by management.
MarginalFunctions
Perform sheathing of weldedpanels.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / RequiredEducation and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
1 year of experience withMIG welding (can be a combination of pre or post-secondary vocational educationin welding and work experience).
Ability and willingness togain proper welding certifications within two years of employment.
Qualification/ Preferred Education and Experience
1+ year MIG weldingexperience (can be a combination of pre or post-secondary vocational educationin welding and work experience).
Experience in amanufacturing environment.
Trade school/vocationaleducation in construction/carpentry and/or commercial carpentry experience.

WorkEnvironment
The work environment willconsist mainly of heavy work in a manufacturing environment. There may be someexposure to seasonal humidity and extreme heat over 85 degrees, excessivenoise, and some vibration associated with the use of tools and equipment. Somehazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current,caustic chemical, and slippery and uneven walking surfaces exist.
