Job description

Benefits:
  • 401(k)
  • Competitive salary
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off

DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen is looking for a full-time Remodeling Design Assistant / Client Ambassador to support both our clients and our design team.
This is a hybrid role for someone who enjoys working with people but also likes the detailed work behind great design. You’ll help create a strong first experience for prospective clients while supporting our designers with drawings, product research, documentation, and project coordination.
We are a full-service design/build remodeling company serving homeowners throughout Southeast Michigan since 2003.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay: $22–$30+ per hour, based on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Supplemental insurance
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time
  • Training and professional development
  • Full-time, primarily in-person role at our Ann Arbor Design Center

What You’ll Do

Client & Design Center Support

  • Welcome walk-ins and answer incoming phone calls
  • Gather basic project information and document prospective client needs
  • Help prospects understand DreamMaker’s services and process
  • Connect clients and prospects with the appropriate team member
  • Help maintain an organized, professional design-center environment
  • Assist with samples, displays, literature, and general showroom upkeep

Design Support

  • Assist with kitchen, bath, and interior remodeling plans
  • Prepare or update cabinet layouts, floor plans, elevations, and 3D views
  • Research products and materials based on designer direction
  • Gather specifications, installation requirements, pricing, and lead-time information
  • Help organize selections and prepare information for client meetings
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and follow up on open items

Team Support

  • Work with multiple members of the sales and design team based on workload
  • Coordinate with estimating and other departments when information is needed
  • Identify missing information or potential issues early
  • Assist with administrative tasks that help keep projects moving

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Comfortable switching between client interaction and focused project work
  • Experience or interest in kitchen and bath design, interiors, cabinetry, remodeling, or a related field
  • Good spatial reasoning and ability to understand plans
  • Experience with kitchen/bath design software or CAD preferred
  • ProKitchen experience is a plus
  • Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow through reliably

An associate degree in design or a related field is helpful but not required with relevant experience.
Who Will Thrive in This Role

You enjoy both people and details. You can greet a homeowner, answer questions professionally, and then return to a cabinet layout, product-research assignment, or documentation task without losing track of either.
You are organized, dependable, curious, and comfortable supporting a team. You do not need to be the person leading every client meeting to take pride in helping create a great client experience and a well-developed design.

Our mission is:

Apply with your resume. If you have experience with kitchen or bath design, cabinetry, CAD, or design documentation, examples of your work are welcome but not required.
