ASSEMBLER/SOLDERING - ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING
DESCRIPTION:
Assembler /Soldering associate assembles electronic components and installs discreet devices on Printed Circuit boards in accordance to manufacturing instructions. This includes, soldering components to PC boards and performing other electrical related assembly procedures. Strong soldering experience of small electrical components is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to work with very small Surface Mount Technology (SMT) components and place them in the correct position in exactly the correct locations on PCB's. Soldering experience with thru-hole PCB components required.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Dexterity and good eyesight are essential in being able to work with small components. Knowledge of soldering is a must as well as prior assembly/manufacturing experience. Must be able to speak and understand instructions given in English. High School diploma required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • IPC J-STD-001 Soldering Certification.
  • Ability to inspect and repair solder connections in various Circuit boards and assemblies.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on Electro-Mechanical assembly on smaller scale.
  • Ability to read work instructions and drawings.

PREFERRED SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:
  • IPC-A-610 Inspection experience
  • Experience in performing through hole assembly in conjunction with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing.
  • Technical degree in Electronics manufacturing preferred, but not required.
