Full Time Leasing Consultant
Report to: Community Manager
About University Partners:
At University Partners, we specialize in providing Class A student housing communities where innovation, service, and resident experience are top priorities. Our teams are empowered to lead leasing and marketing strategies that drive occupancy and build strong, vibrant communities.
Job Purpose:
As a Leasing Consultant, you are the heart of the community, responsible for marketing apartments to prospective residents, supporting current residents, and managing lease renewals. Your role directly impacts occupancy and community success. Training is provided in Fair Housing, sales techniques, and objection handling.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding service to prospects, residents, and visitors.
  • Lease apartments in line with occupancy goals and marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct applications, including credit, income, and background checks.
  • Maintain lease files, complete documentation, and coordinate move-ins.
  • Conduct outside marketing initiatives and promote the community within the student housing market.
  • Follow up with prospects and residents to drive renewals and community engagement.
  • Enter and track data in Entrata (or similar property management software).
  • Assist with roommate matching, work orders, and other operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and service-oriented.
  • Experience in leasing, marketing, sales, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Positive attitude, patience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work weekends or overtime as required.
  • Familiarity with Entrata or similar property management software is a plus.

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical & Work Environment:
  • Office and outdoor work environments, occasional exposure to changing weather.
  • Ability to walk, stand, lift up to 25 lbs, and interact with residents regularly.
