Job description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Work across ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HRSD and custom applications in ServiceNOW. Maintain and manage solutions across multi stack ServiceNOW instances, supporting automation. Create secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies. Take initiative in finding solutions to complex problems, utilizing analytical & problem-solving skills, and possessing adaptability to change.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, ServiceNow Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, ServiceNow Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following: Building custom applications and Enhancements using Javascript in the ServiceNow platform. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Building new Portals/Workspaces and enhancing the OOB workspaces with HTML, CSS, Angular, JQuery; Building cross instance/cross application solutions using REST APIs, OAUTH 2.0 Auth methodology and Data Transform methodologies. This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Building backend table structures with an understanding of Relational database; Working on Performance Issues with the understanding of Database Transactions and Indexing.
