Position Overview

EGS is seeking a Software Developer III to support mission-critical enterprise analytics platform modernization efforts at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This position is responsible for leading the implementation, deployment, and operational support of a new Strategy Customer Managed Cloud (CMC) environment hosted on a Red Hat OpenShift container platform.

The selected candidate will serve as the technical lead for deploying and configuring the Strategy CMC platform while enabling existing on-premises Strategy reports, dashboards, and applications within the new cloud-based environment. This role also includes developing operational procedures, providing production support, and mentoring LANL middleware personnel to ensure a successful transition of long-term platform administration.

The successful candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience implementing Strategy Customer Managed Cloud (CMC) in enterprise production environments, along with strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, and enterprise application architecture.


Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy CMC Implementation
  • Lead the installation, configuration, and production deployment of Strategy Customer Managed Cloud (CMC).
  • Deploy and configure Strategy CMC within a Red Hat OpenShift container platform.
  • Configure the CMC environment to support existing on-premises Strategy reports, dashboards, security, and application functionality.
  • Validate production readiness through application testing, performance verification, and connectivity validation.
  • Perform Strategy CMC configuration, tuning, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and ongoing administration.
Platform Administration
  • Maintain the Strategy CMC application and supporting containerized infrastructure following production deployment.
  • Monitor system performance, stability, and overall platform health.
  • Support production operations and resolve application and infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to maintain a secure, reliable, and highly available environment.
Cloud & Container Technologies
  • Deploy and administer Strategy CMC on Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Support Kubernetes-based containerized environments.
  • Administer Linux-based application environments.
  • Implement platform best practices for scalability, performance, and operational reliability.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
  • Develop operational procedures, technical documentation, and platform support guides.
  • Create best practices for long-term platform administration.
  • Provide structured knowledge transfer and mentoring to LANL middleware personnel.
  • Train administrators on both the OpenShift platform and Strategy CMC administration.
Collaboration

Required QualificationsEducation

  • Extensive hands-on experience deploying and administering Strategy Customer Managed Cloud (CMC) in enterprise production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise software implementations from deployment through production support and knowledge transfer.
  • Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting, and supporting Strategy CMC.
  • Experience migrating or enabling existing Strategy applications, reports, and dashboards within a CMC deployment.
  • Experience deploying and operating Strategy CMC within Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.
