Role: Electrical Engineer - Building Systems (MEP / Sustainable Design)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in building systems design to support MEP consulting projects focused on energy-efficient and sustainable building solutions. The role involves designing and developing electrical power distribution systems for commercial buildings, evaluating energy-saving strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical design, building power systems, and Revit-based modeling within an MEP consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems for commercial building projects, including power distribution and power systems
Prepare detailed electrical engineering designs, drawings, and documentation using Revit and related tools
Conduct site assessments and evaluate existing electrical systems for improvements and upgrades
Analyze and implement energy-efficient solutions aligned with sustainability goals and budget constraints
Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations
Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and structural engineering teams on integrated building systems
Support project delivery from concept through design completion and documentation
Troubleshoot and optimize electrical system performance in building environments
Participate in technical reviews, coordination meetings, and project planning discussions
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
Strong experience in electrical engineering design, specifically building systems
Hands-on experience with power distribution systems and power systems design
Proficiency in Revit for electrical design and documentation
Strong understanding of electrical theory and practical building applications
Experience working in MEP consulting or building design environments
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple design tasks and project deadlines
Must be located in Central Florida or Central Pennsylvania (mandatory requirement)
