What are full time servers?

Full time servers are hospitality professionals who work at restaurants, bars, or other dining establishments, typically for 30-40 hours per week or more. Their main responsibilities include taking customer orders, serving food and beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment. Full time servers may also handle payments, help with setting up and closing down the restaurant, and assist with other tasks as needed. Because of their full-time status, they often receive more consistent hours, and may be eligible for additional benefits like health insurance or paid time off compared to part-time staff.

Experienced servers with strong customer service skills and knowledge of wine or fine dining often earn higher tips, leading to greater total income. Salaries vary by location and establishment, but top earners can make over $50,000 annually including tips.

Achieving this level often involves exceptional customer service skills and working in areas with higher tipping standards.
