Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics
Location: Mt. Washington, KY
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Setting: Pediatric Outpatient

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join a pediatric outpatient team dedicated to helping children and adolescents achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with developmental, sensory, cognitive, emotional, and physical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients through evaluations, testing, and clinical observations to determine therapy needs.

  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare providers.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional functioning.

  • Utilize activities involving daily living skills, sensory integration, educational, recreational, social, vocational, and pre-vocational training.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy assessment tools, testing protocols, and treatment planning.

  • Understanding of sensory integration techniques, feeding and swallowing interventions, anxiety management, and related therapeutic approaches.

  • Familiarity with community resources and support services available to pediatric patients and families.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Current Occupational Therapist license issued by the appropriate state licensing board or eligibility to obtain licensure in Kentucky.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing occupational therapy services to children and/or adolescents.

  • Experience coordinating clinical services and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams preferred.

  • Current CPR certification preferred.

  • Experience working with pediatric populations in an outpatient, clinic, school-based, or related setting is highly desirable.
