Job description

Title: High School Science Teacher

Location: Lutheran High School of Indianapolis

Salary: TBD includes benefits

Position: Full time science teacher with a potential to teach life and/or physical science courses in a private Christian high school. Must have Indiana Professional Educator’s License appropriate to area. Extra curricular involvement is encouraged but not required..

Lutheran High School: Located on the Southeast corner of Indianapolis offering a technology rich 1:1 environment for the purpose of preparing young adults for a Christian life while providing academic excellence. Students and families are motivated with over 90% percentage of graduates progressing to higher education.

Position Duties: Teachers report to school July 15 for onboarding, July 30-August 2 for professional faculty development, and August 6 for first day of school. Teachers are supported with available resources to maintain a curricular map that is aligned with the Indiana state curriculum standards. Teachers are supported with room equipment, inventory, instructional planning materials, student records management software, an annual budget, and a Christian relational attitude.


Qualification: Indiana Professional Educator’s License appropriate to position.
