Position Overview

San Ysidro Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services to individuals grappling with major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. The role includes both virtual and in-person engagement with clients, ensuring they receive the comprehensive support necessary for their recovery and personal growth.

This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility while maintaining strong connections with clients and colleagues. Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients, ensuring trust and open communication.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for individuals with mental health challenges, utilizing evidence-based screening tools tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment and care plans, integrating services from various providers and community resources.
  • Engage in crisis intervention efforts to support clients in maintaining safety and stability during acute situations.
  • Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, ensuring adjustments to treatment plans are made according to their evolving needs.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and provide individual and family counseling aimed at enhancing coping strategies and life skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in committee work to enhance service delivery and improve organizational processes.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and timely reporting of case notes and data submissions.
  • Provide on-call support as needed, contributing to a responsive service culture that prioritizes client safety and welfare.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will work primarily with a diverse clientele, serving individuals from various backgrounds who suffer from acute mental health concerns. Our clients often include those with histories of trauma, substance use disorders, and other severe emotional conditions. You will play an essential role in providing culturally competent care, respecting each client’s unique circumstances and fostering an environment of understanding and support.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage clients and collaborate with team members.
  • Proven organizational skills to manage caseloads and treatment documentation proficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and adapt to various interpersonal styles.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a social worker in a mental health setting is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with community health resources in Colorado and the surrounding areas.
  • Experience working in a crisis intervention capacity is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

San Ysidro Wellness Center offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
