Description
The Mobile RV Specialty Technician will perform specialized repairs and maintenance for travel trailers, 5th wheels, and motorized
recreational vehicles, on site. Mobile truck is provided along with tools needed to perform mobile repairs
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
  • Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
  • Communicate additional service requests to service advisor
  • Plan work in cooperation with shop foreman
  • Provide labor estimates to service advisor
  • Monitor repair time and update service advisor
  • Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
  • Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
  • Keep current with factory technical bulletins
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
  • Perform warranty repairs as needed

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • Ability to professionally communicate with customers while on site
  • Knowledge of the specialized area and general repairs.
  • Excellent mechanical repair skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals.
  • Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to read work requests, ensuring the scope of work requested meets customer expectation.

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of related experience recommended.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to work safely in areas with space constraints
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly.
  • Must be able to inspect vehicles to determine repairs needed.
  • Good vision to inspect repair work.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
