Their job involves driving large trucks or towing RVs, ensuring safe and timely delivery, and sometimes handling paperwork and inspection upon delivery. Stretcher Transport Driver – Non-Emergency Medical Transport

**We are seeking Stretcher Lead and Stretcher Assist Positions. Stretcher Lead + Assist work as a team.

Pay: $16–$18/hr + trip bonuses (average $2+ extra/hr)

Pay differential: $2 extra / hr after 7:00 PM on weekdays and all day Saturday & Sunday

Schedule: Full-time (hours based on daily trip volume; overtime opportunities available)

About the Role: Join a fast-growing non-emergency medical transportation company providing safe, reliable service to elderly and disabled clients. You’ll be assisting clients to and from medical appointments, discharges, and other healthcare-related trips.

We operate at a high volume, and no two days are the same. Flexibility is essential—this is not a traditional 9–5 role, as schedules are driven by trip demand.

What We’re Looking For: We are seeking courteous, safe, and professional drivers who understand they are representing WTS at all times. You will regularly enter medical facilities and interact directly with medical clients, caregivers, and healthcare staff—professionalism and communication are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments
  • Assist passengers with mobility needs (wheelchairs, stretchers, mobility devices)
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and facility staff
  • Communicate promptly with dispatch and supervisors
  • Follow all company protocols, safety procedures, and PPE requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license (minimum 5 years) with a clean driving record
  • Level II background check (required by American Healthcare Association) and clearance through the national OIG Exclusions database
  • Pass DOT physical and Fit-for-Duty test
  • Ability to push, pull, kneel, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to remain alert and focused for long periods while driving

Preferred:

  • CPR/First Aid certification (training available if needed)
  • Experience in healthcare, patient care, EMS, or transport

Work Environment:

  • Medical field setting (hospitals, clinics, care facilities, private residences)
  • Direct contact with medical clients; proper PPE is provided and required

Benefits:

  • 4% matched 401(k) + additional employer contributions
  • Up to 75% employer-paid medical insurance
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) & paid holidays

Why Join WTS?

  • Make a meaningful impact in people’s lives every day
  • Build experience for EMT, healthcare, or medical career paths
  • Be part of a growing, family-owned company with strong team support
