Many employers provide on-the-job training, but familiarity with GPS navigation devices and, in some cases, a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or DOT medical card may be advantageous. Companies offering these positions do not require prior experience but typically expect drivers to have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and in some cases, their own towing vehicle. Many employers provide basic training on how to safely transport RVs. This is an independent contractor role, meaning drivers are responsible for fuel, maintenance, and other travel expenses. It can be a good opportunity for those looking to enter the transportation industry with minimal experience.
