Job description

The Behavioral Health Pharmacist specializes in the use of medications for the treatment of mental health conditions, providing patient care, education, and medication management services. The pharmacist collaborates with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive medication treatment plans. Time will be split between inpatient behavioral health units at the St. Cloud Hospital where the pharmacist will provide rounding and clinical support, and the CentraCare BH Plaza clinic to provide care continuity in the outpatient setting.   

This position will serve as primary preceptor for a CentraCare PGY-1 pharmacy resident rotation as well as an APPE student rotation. Additionally, they will serve as a content expert and source of education for pharmacist staff and will serve as the lead pharmacy resource for the University of Minnesota/CentraCare Rural Psychiatry Residency Program. 

This position will involve some travel between St. Cloud Hospital and the outpatient behavioral health clinic at the Plaza.

Schedule:

  • Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | Onsite
  • Days | Monday-Friday | 7:30am-4pm
  • Occasional weekends and holidays

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay begins at $62.10 per hour and increases with experience
    • Pay range: $62.10-$93.15 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and/or Pharm. D.
  • Advanced training (residency, fellowship, and/or board certification) and/or previous hospital experience preferred.
  • Current licensure by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
