As a key member of our organization, you will provide vital therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families using telehealth technology. Your expertise will play an essential role in delivering compassionate care, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to meet the diverse mental health needs of our clients.

About the Organization

La Trinidad Counseling Center is committed to promoting mental health and wellness in the Riverside community and beyond. Our mission is to empower individuals to navigate their mental health challenges, foster resilience, and support personal growth through effective therapy. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment for both our clients and our staff, ensuring that everyone feels valued and included. As a telehealth-focused institution, we leverage modern technology to reach those in need, making mental health services more accessible.

Work Environment

This role operates in a fully remote work setting, allowing you the flexibility to conduct sessions and manage your caseload from the comfort of your own home or designated office space. Our telehealth platform is designed to facilitate secure and confidential interactions with clients, ensuring that you have the necessary resources to deliver high-quality care. As part of our collaborative team, you will connect with fellow professionals while benefiting from ongoing support and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients’ mental health issues, create clinical diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs.
  • Provide therapeutic services to clients through individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Respond promptly to mental health crises, offering immediate support and intervention to clients in acute distress.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date client records that comply with legal and ethical standards, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment findings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate care and enhance the treatment process.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and relevant community resources while advocating for their rights and needs.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and emerging best practices in the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from various backgrounds, facing a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. By leveraging telehealth services, we reach both urban and rural populations, ensuring that access to quality mental health care is expanded. Your approach will be tailored to promote understanding and empathy, allowing clients to feel heard and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications
  • A current license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) is required.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is essential for this role.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities are critical.
  • A minimum of two years of related experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting is necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • The ability to work autonomously while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in therapy practice.
Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a clinical environment is preferred, we welcome applications from emerging professionals who are dedicated to developing their skills in mental health counseling. A history of engaging with diverse client populations is beneficial, as it complements our mission to provide inclusive mental health services.

Compensation and Benefits
