GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Ensures the placement of patients into beds in accordance with physician service, patient accommodation needs and patient preferences.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes the EPIC registration demographic to capture metrics necessary for all aspects necessary of bed control. Collaborates as a team-based member to deliver best patient care with physician practices and extended care facilities and the patient transfer notification process. (40%)
  • Utilizes effective communication with all personnel to ensure highest quality in bed control. (40%)
  • Ensures proper procedures regarding all aspects of bed control are followed. (20%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • High school diploma / GED
  • Completion of medical/secretarial transcription program or equivalent

  • None

**Working Schedule**

Full Time Rotational: Please note that this role is a 36 hours per week with 3 x 12 hours Rotational Shift. You will need to be flexible to work a rotational schedule which includes, evening, overnight, and weekend coverage.
