Job description

Amergis Staffing is seeking experienced Surgical Technicians for 13-week assignments at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH) in Palo Alto, CA. These roles support a top-ranked pediatric surgical environment with rotating day/night 10-hour shifts and variable scheduling. Candidates must have strong pediatric OR experience and open availability.

Position Overview

Surgical Technicians will support pediatric and obstetric surgical cases ranging from routine procedures to highly complex interventions. LPCH is a nationally recognized pediatric hospital associated with Stanford, offering a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and state-of-the-art surgical facilities.

Assignment Details

Modality: Surgical Technician Setting: Pediatric Hospital (LPCH – Stanford) Openings: 3 Schedule: Rotating Day/Night 10-Hour Shifts Hours: 40 hours per week Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 08/03/2026 Interview: Required (onsite manager interview) Charting System: EPIC

The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement
  • One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist – only) 
  • Degree in biology related field which includes a degree / certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
