JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Registered Nurse - Emergency Services

RN - ER

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Emergency Services Department will have the following job responsibilities:

  • Triage and Assessment: Evaluating incoming patients to prioritize care based on the severity of their condition.
  • Emergency Interventions: Performing life-saving procedures, such as CPR, intubation, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
  • Treatment Administration: Inserting IV lines, administering medications, drawing blood, and performing diagnostic tests like EKGs.
  • Patient Stabilization: Providing wound care, suturing, setting broken bones, and managing acute injuries.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate Electronic Health Records (EHRs) of patient conditions, treatments, and vital signs.
  • Communication: Collaborating with doctors, specialists, and the healthcare team, while providing updates and education to patients and families.
  • Discharge/Transfer: Managing patient flow by discharging stable patients or transferring them to appropriate hospital units.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse - Emergency Services

Registered Nurse candidates for the Emergency Services Department must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of acute care experience for the unit they are applying to
  • Candidate resume must show Nurse Practicum and have all experience in MM/YYYY format
  • Candidates must live outside 100 miles from facility
  • Competitive benefits package!
  • Relocation bonus: Available depending on relocation area. 1 year commitment minimum.
  • Sign on bonus: Candidates with less than 2 years experience, $10,000. Over 2 years experience, $25,000. 2 year commitment in order to receive full bonus.
  • Certifications: BLS required upon submission. All other required certifications can be obtain after hire; please refer to Life Support Certification document in attachments.
  • Licensure: Open to candidates who do not hold New Mexico or Compact licensure. Candidates must obtain prior to start.
