Work Environment

As a member of our outpatient service department, you will participate in virtual meetings and use modern telehealth technologies to conduct therapy sessions, assessments, and collaborations. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individualized and group therapy sessions through secure telehealth platforms, ensuring confidentiality and comfort for all clients.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate client mental and emotional health, using standardized tools and observational techniques.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs and goals of each client, incorporating evidence-based methodologies.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed, employing effective strategies to ensure client safety and stability.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available resources to empower meaningful participation in their care.
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate client records compliant with HIPAA regulations to ensure continuity of care and legal adherence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to offer holistic care and improved client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work as an LPC at Riverbend will involve diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems. Understanding and respecting diverse backgrounds and cultures will be crucial in developing effective therapeutic relationships and treatment approaches.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing counseling services to individuals from various backgrounds, with an emphasis on inclusivity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong ability to empathize and connect with clients.
  • Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities that enhance client care and therapeutic outcomes.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ACA ethical standards.
  • Engagement in ongoing professional development, including seeking out training and workshops to enhance clinical skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with trauma-informed care and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
