[About the Role]
Join our dynamic Information Technology team as a System Administrator specializing in Linux and Windows workstations. Based in Waco, TX, this full-time, on-site contract position supports mission-critical engineering and development operations. You'll work in a collaborative environment alongside engineering, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams, managing a diverse workstation landscape and contributing to robust, secure infrastructure.
[Responsibilities]
- Deploy, secure, and maintain Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky Linux) and Windows (10, 11) desktop and laptop systems for technical staff
- Standardize and manage workstation imaging, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management
- Administer Proxmox virtualization environments for workstation and infrastructure support
- Provide technical administration for Atlassian Jira, Bitbucket, and Jenkins platforms
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and authentication integrations (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO)
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, software, network, and performance issues
- Automate system administration tasks using Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting
- Support endpoint security tools, encryption, antivirus, and compliance initiatives
- Package, deploy, and update software and developer tools
- Document standards, processes, and technical procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workstation reliability and resolve incidents
