Job description

Saalex is seeking a Senior Network & Systems Administrator in Camarillo, CA to support the administration, security, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise server and network environments. The selected candidate will serve as a technical resource responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and compliant infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations. This role requires extensive experience with Windows and Linux administration, cybersecurity compliance, automation, patch management, enterprise services, and server lifecycle support.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $130K-$140K (depending on experience)
Work Location: Onsite.
Essential Functions:
  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Manage and support DNS, DHCP, Active Directory domain services, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Implement and maintain security controls, compliance baselines, and DISA STIG requirements.
  • Perform server patching, operating system upgrades, lifecycle management, and infrastructure modernization activities.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments and enterprise services.
  • Administer and support SQL database environments and related services.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and other scripting technologies.
  • Support Linux server administration and maintenance activities, including Red Hat-based environments.
  • Maintain system documentation, technical procedures, and configuration baselines.
  • Coordinate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and customer stakeholders to support operational requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements
Required:
  • Minimum of five (10) years of experience administering enterprise Windows Server environments.
  • Experience administering DNS, DHCP, Active Directory domain services, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Experience implementing security controls and maintaining compliance with DISA STIG requirements.
  • Experience with Windows deployment, patch management, and server lifecycle administration.
  • Strong Linux server and systems administration experience.
  • Experience administering and supporting SQL database environments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining PowerShell automation scripts.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership within a team environment.

Desired:
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019 (or later) certification, qualification, or equivalent enterprise-level operating system credentials.
  • Red Hat certification (RHCSA/RHCE) or equivalent Linux administration credentials.
  • Enterprise operating system certifications such as LFCS or comparable credentials.
  • Experience with Python scripting and automation.
  • Experience supporting DoD or Federal Government environments.

Education:
  • Masters Degree is preferred or a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field plus 4 additional years of experience.

Security Clearance:
  • Active Top Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
