To learn more about us and our team, visit our website.About You and the Role The Cryptographic Test Engineer & Network Engineer will provide security and functional testing for cryptographic network systems. This is an exciting position which will introduce networking professionals to cutting edge networks and cryptographic systems.We are looking for a San Diego-based Cryptographic Test Engineer & Network Engineer to join our team at NKI. This is a 100% onsite, full-time position following a 9/80 schedule based at NWIC Topside.Responsibilities Include:Perform configuration and set up of cryptographic devices in a variety of network systems and environmentsPerform functional and performance testing of devices to determine suitability with operational military capabilitiesDevelop test reportsAnswer technical queries and assist Navy usersCreate/Maintain documentation of system configuration Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study. 2+ years of relevant professional experience.Experience with:Networking (Basic routing, use of Cisco IOS, knowledge of VPNs)Administering Linux / CentOS (RHCSA preferred)Configuring/managing cryptographic devicesKey management systems/PKI conceptsVPN tunneling, SSHMonitoring tools and their implementation (e.g., Snort)U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Government Crypto devices.Security Certifications (CISSP, CompTIA+, Security+). CompensationBase salary: $85,000-$110,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Our Company Perks!Career Growth: We invest in your professional development and provide clear opportunities for advancement.
